Do u use profanity in front of children ?

I never do. No way. No how. And that includes teens. I notice people do this a lot nowadays. When they are at the park, or restaurants, or store, or boardwalk on the beach. People just cuss, cuss, cuss. But what about setting an example. Doesn't that mean anything to you. ☺

Children become the model you present to them
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Mandalorian Not only that, but their peers influence them even more so, too. ☺

Good for you! Me, neither. It's never too late to change bad habits. It just depends on how important that one thing is to you.

@LadyGrace Thank you. ☺

I don't but that's not more problematic than other "ordinary" content I see people exposing their children to. Just because it is socially acceptable, it doesn't mean it is less dangerous.

Such as descriminatory speech, fear based morality, personal grudges against divorced partner, gossip..etc

@Miram Yes, you are so right. Thanks for making that clear to the people here. ☺
Not around kids or the elderly. Usually the only place i curse is at work.

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy Ahhhh. Ok. ☺

NEVER! Not even in front of adults. Why would you?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@TimSummers I don't. But people do it all the time.

I agree. I often wonder how some could play their music with such words being said, then you look in the back seat and it's covered with kids.
The other thing I noticed is how freely ppl cuss. I'm kinda old-fashioned so for me to hear those words come out of some ppl mouths, make me wonder how they were raised themselves. There's no need for that kind of language.

Ehh I try not to but I'm far from perfect..sometimes it slips.
Never young children, but my teens and their friends are a different story. I keep it toned down but they so hear it
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@ProdigalSummer I see. ☺

I just speak. If I swear, ever, it's contextually. I'd never swear (intentionally) in front of a child just as I wouldn't dumb down my normal speech.
Maggimay · 46-50, F
yes; i do. i try not to infront of young ones but it happens.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Maggimay Darn it. ☺

Damnit...did it again, sorry @Zonuss
Miram · 31-35, F
@Zonuss children should turn the profanity filter on, adult content too.

I despise those who do.

Only darn, once in awhile I might slip a damn. On occasion a shit. But nothing worse...I don't like that language even out of myself.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@AlmostAnAngel Then perhaps you need to tone it down just a bit. 🙂

@Zonuss 😫

I never do in front of anybody, and extremely rarely alone (it's usually accidentally when singing).
No, and anyone that does in front of my kids gets the glare of doom

Although, when my girl was getting bullied and one of the parents tried telling me it was a game I did say "it wasn't a fucking game" in front of her youngest child. I was really angry and I apologised immediately and again by text, luckily her daughter is young enough for it to go over her head.

@InOtterWords Thanks for sharing.

No and my bff's sister does with her daughter so often that she uses them herself at age 4. Though in the house it may not be as much of an issue. I taught a girl once with very big anger problems her mother let her start swearing at home and in the car with her and it actually seemed to bring her some calm.
