Why doesn't SW just put up a 'dating Section'!? (Details!)

Because SW is not stupid to limit its patrons and corner them in one box or another.
Daters are allowed to do 'boring' stuff and vice versa.

No, most people here are married or children, so they [b]shouldn't[/b] be here for that. One of the reasons EP closed (supposedly) was because some woman who met with a poster from the site ended up getting murdered. Aren't there enough actual dating sites out there ?

I really don't think that's entirely necessary, nor do I think that's what the majority of people are here for.

Most people anywhere are looking for date but here it isn't exactly that. There are many lonely people who might just do well with a good friend. Although, people look for dates when they are lonely but that is not really the right time anyway. I think dating section would spoil this website.
