I think that's just a lot of BS
strongbow46-50, M
why do you say that?...that its not true or its BS that the factory is bein built here instead of overseas?

google it, SW wont let me post a link
SimplyTracie26-30, F
@strongbow: So you are saying that in the few weeks that Trumps been president, he orchestrated this factory that is being built? Like bought the land and plans that is estimated to cost $7 billion.
strongbow46-50, M
Google it...he negotiated the deal to move forward so it can be built
SimplyTracie26-30, F
@strongbow: It seems then that it was already in the planning
strongbow46-50, M
And Trump made it happen.. if its been around for awhile it seems Obama couldnt get the ball rollin
SimplyTracie26-30, F
@strongbow: So Trump get the credit for building a factory? And hiring 3000 people?

Something is wrong with this. What was the problem that caused this to not be built?
strongbow46-50, M
Im sorry i dont have the copy of the contract or the negotiation process in front of me... we must tip our hat to The Donald for getting it done though馃憤
The INTEL CEO said they had this product and plan for a few years, but the financials weren't good enough to build it.

After Trump was elected, they relooked at this. The financials were now positive ... do they decided to move forward.
SimplyTracie26-30, F
@questionWeaver: Why does the government have to check their financials? I would think the INTEL has $10 billion in their back pocket.
@SimplyTracie:

Tracie ... the government doesn't look at the finances.

When INTEL did the original financials ... it showed they would not make enough money ... that it was better to not invest.

When INTEL relooked at it, they considered the new reduction in regulations, tax rates, trade protections and better GNP growth ... which meant better financial performance and they approved it.
SimplyTracie26-30, F
@questionWeaver: I see. So the President deregulated stuff for INTEL or did he impose taxes for imports?
SimplyTracie26-30, F
@questionWeaver: It's difficult to believe that the economy improved that significantly since he took office
@SimplyTracie: really neither ... he set the scenario for the corporate tax rate restructure ... inspired congress to be open to trade protections including import taxes ... instructed his secretarys to reduce all the conflicting, non-essential and impractical regulations.

INTEL felt the business climate was more favorable ... so they moved ahead.

So, Trump did not need to have those things in place ... just indicating that is where we are going was enough.

Okay Thank you. You're good t explaining this. I appreciate your patience. 馃馃
@SimplyTracie: Tracie ... we invest BEFORE the numbers improve.

Yes, the business environment is much improved.

We had 5 projects on hold ... the biggest one was stopped completely.

I have been called on all of them ... everybody says the same thing "lets do it!"

Was called on the largest project ... and told .."the world has changed, we have investors interested"
