The neighbors to the south of us are always sawing, hammering, etc. They've kept this up for the last almost 3 years, but nothing ever changes. I'm so curious. What are they doing?!
An Underground bunker ,with tunnels to all their neighbors houses . When all hell breaks loose ,they are going to raid you're food and lock you out ,keeping it all to themselves .
I have a prepper friend ,ex special forces ,he is doing something like this . Except he is hording MRE's and survival buckets ,guns and ammo "They will never take me alive" he says . I guess he has not heard about Wacco and Ruby ridge ,he has been cutting himself off to long . If they come to get him ,bringing him out alive is not their agenda .
Lets pray my friend is not you're neighbor ,,all I am sayin ,,LOL
@boklenholley7 My Buddy is antisocial too .( I say buddy ,fellow Vet is more like it ) I met him in a VA lock down ward when they said I was trying to starve myself to death and I had a heart attack ,after they stabilized me from the heart attack ,then they convinced my family I was committing slow suicide , I just lost my woman and my Mom passed ,I was grieving ,didn't have an appetite This guy checked doors and windows night and day . My girls and I sang for them every night and his wife asked me to please be his friend .I was able to win him over as someone he could trust . He invited us over for a cook out ,he pops out of the ground next to my car . Its a spider hole ,he has them everywhere . Shows me his bunker and then asks me about mine ,I don't have one . He goes nuts on me telling me I better get to preparing he is only looking after his family ,I better prepare for mine and asks me to leave . Has his wife crying for talking him into letting me come over ,I am not a prepper ,He rolls back into his spider hole and back to work on his security . They shipped him off somewhere ,hoping to deprogram him . Something he seen did that to him .he never used drugs his wife said ,at all .
I can say if anyone lived near us They would think the same. However every building we have already plus the new ones are all wood so It has also been a never ending lot of repairs and new build over a few years
@Sueisright haha but having buildings makes sense! These guys have their one tiny house, and nothing ever changes on it (and trust me it needs some repairs).
@boklenholley7 I don't really know what "awesome" means, but craft hobbies like wood-work and metal-work are certainly very skilled and very rewarding.
My Dad was an Electrical Engineer employed in the Scientific Civil Service, so professionally, he was mainly an applied-mathematician. However he was also very practical and very good at anything from simple bits of wood-work to making furniture, re-decorating the house and assembling electronic equipment.
He also re-wired the house, naturally to a very high standard and meeting the appropriate legal Regulations drawn up by the Institute of Electrical Engineers of which he was a Chartered Member! (An Engineer is not necessarily someone who makes or mends things, but is the one who designs and tests them.)
I used to know a sonar designer with a formidable brain for the very high-level physics and mathematics I understand this involves. At his funeral we learnt his hobby had been restoring antique furniture - and that he knew enough of fabrics and needlework to have designed and made his daughter's wedding-dress.
