@SW-User The number really depends on a range of factors such as current level of fitness, health issues, age etc. 6,700 steps is about 5km and is about the speed i'd walk it.
If you want to choose a target, i'd recommend basing the speed on your heart rate as you walk assuming your health is ok for it. So the maximum your heart rate should get to is 220 - your age. Then if you are trying to burn body fat, the fat burning rate is 70% of your maximum that you just calculated. So for me it'd be (220 - 47) x 0.7. So that's around 120 beats per minute to walk at :)
