I think some of posters here should lighten up on Elafina's haiku attempt. She at least made the effort ... and I think it was well done. The metaphor she used was beautiful and conveyed the thought perfectly.
Getting obsessed on the proper haiku form reminds me of my of Catholic prep school days where in Composition and Rhetoric we were hounded down like Jean Valjean by the relentless and obsessive Javert if we violated the rules of form.
And hey, it's Sunday, give the girl a break!
