Have you ever exercised so strenuously that you had to throw up?

Yesterday I over-exercised. I worked out so strenuously that I got nauseated and I felt like I had to throw up. Did you ever do that? I looked it up and there's a Wikipedia article on "exercise-induced nausea." What happens is that when you are engaged in extreme activity, your body diverts blood from the stomach to the respiratory system where it is needed to fuel the heart because the heart has priority. Then the stomach doesn't get enough oxygenated blood and you get nauseated. Isn't that wild?

Then last night, I was so pumped up I couldn't sleep !! I am taking a break today!!

I think most of us old worn-out football players who experienced two-a-day practice in 100 degree heat in August had that experience. Plus, in those days, we weren't allowed to drink water during practice.
@exexec No water? Whoa!! You're placing your health at risk if you don't hydrate.
@exexec Did you have insomnia the night after a hard practice?

@flipper1966 No water was the common practice in the 60's. It's a wonder we didn't die. Yes, I had insomnia after being dehydrated and cramping.
