if the times are the same it selects the shorter route distance wise.

@SW-User not always true. Many rural routes are just not shown regardless of distance or time. And I do mean paved routes.

Don't know their reasoning. They should list the top three or four routes and it could easily be done.

It'll usually prompt you to choose...or else it'll choose the shortest distance one.
