I'm quitting smoking by vaping.

Wish me luck. 馃槑

Hardest thing I ever did, and my best friend had failed even more times than me. He went over to vape and I'm a little jealous at how easy he's found it, given the hell I went through. Hopefully there's a positive in here for you, though, and that you'll equally manage the transition without too much grief.

I do wish you luck. I haven't seen it work much, but then that's true of every method of quitting.

FWIW this is what I used, back in 2005:
https://www.allencarr.com/easyway-stop-smoking/find-a-seminar/

took a day and a couple of hundred pounds, but it stopped me cold. Haven't had a puff since Jan 6 2005, & that's after starting smoking in 1973

Not sure what your choice of devices is but Juul's are a pretty good way to go. Just need to look online for the cartridge distributors. You'll save a lot.

@Ynotisay I have one already but thanks. Yeah, I spend about fifty gbp per week and this would cost me maybe a tenth.

Also I'm of an age now where I can't just neglect my health with no consequences.
YnotisayM
@Burnley123 Yep. That's aging. But you're young enough to do a 180. Good luck.

@Ynotisay Thank you.

That鈥檚 how I quit. I vaped for a couple years and slowly stepped down how much nicotine was in the juice. 5 years and counting since cigarettes, and like 2 years since vaping now
Zaphod4246-50, M
You have to be consistent though! The first two weeks after cigs is a bitch...push through and don鈥檛 give in! @Zaphod42

I鈥檝e been vaping since 2010 and haven鈥檛 smoked dinked 2013. Good luck to you!

Good luck. I need to do the same.

LOL. That's like asking for luck to lose weight by walking for 10 minutes per day as you continue to shove an excess and grotesque amount of food down your throat. Pass the colossal bucket of chicken wings.

@MarkPaul Lol. You're an idiot. 馃槅

Good luck :)

Good luck my friend although you should try to go completely clear. I gave up 14 years ago and if vaping had been around then I'm sure I would have gone down that road too. It's bloody hard but there is life after nicotine.

You're just compensating, it won't work. Just stop, you're no-longer a smoker!
Burnley12341-45, M
@JovialPlutonian Nah. I'm gonna do it this way. It's not perfect but it's better and I have more chance.
JovialPlutonian36-40, M
@Burnley123 I wish you a strong will then, no need for luck as you already have it.
in auz 馃嚘馃嚭. nicotine is illegal for Vape machines...

they claim its unhealthy for you. as they collect tax for real cigarettes..

lolz.

Good luck, but just stop smoking for good and no vaping.
Burnley12341-45, M
@sally1981 maybe but one step at a time

I don't think it will substitute for crack

I hear vaping is just as bad...
Burnley12341-45, M
@hertoy Its just as addictive but no tar. The NHS has approved it now. They have some minor issues with it but research shows it much much better than cigs.
Best of luck

I've considered doing the same

@Psycho I used to have that problem when I first started. Then I talked with a guy that doesn't just sell you the crap, he actually works with you on getting you set up right. If you get the right mood and level for you, you don't even miss cigarrettes
