How come the smallest size drink at Starbucks is "tall"?

Thair marketing scheme - make the cup thinner and taller, so it will still look big, I suppose.

Maybe because small has one more letter and that makes a big difference when printing a gazillion cups.
I believe the smallest size is called short.
