Maybe because "real" people require the same from others they're with. So "fake" people can't be fake with them. They have to get real or they have to go.

Not sure. I wasn't good at trying to be someone I'm not, so I'd guess being real is easier. Maybe it's harder for some and easier for others. @StokedFox
