Here in the UK local councils have been prosecuting people for feeding the birds. Why should I be governed by fools like this?

I have never, and will never be dictated to by these fools.

I am glad they have so little topics of real value that they have to stoop so low. I am being sarcastic. Good for you, my friend. Just don't get caught and fined. Bastards.

@PoetryNEmotion Its my life Cyn,as you know, and it should be encouraged, not penalised. 🤗
@pedrohedgerow Another best answer from you! I thank you. Live your life as you wish, dear one, that is the only way! :)

Oh boy they don't have anything better to do than charge people for feeding the birds....Well I'm guilty too, plus feeding the squirrels and the little gray kitten that lives in the yard next door and hisses at me every time I take some food out for him.

How's that little fella coming on; doing better now? @cherokeepatti
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@pennynoodles he still hisses at me when he sees me, I don't think he means it in a bad way, he seems happy when I bring food out and leave it under the tree for him.

@cherokeepatti The laws they are using were never meant to be abused as they are doing Patti, but hey!Whats new?

You have to laugh at liberals.
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
@MasterLee I laugh at all politics and politicians. You have too! :)

no but you might be prosecuted by them

there are two sides to every story and I don't know the ins and outs of yours. I do know that my own local council (seaside area) spends a huge amount of rate revenue on repairing damage done by birds. I am not disagreeing with you and I feed the birds in my garden myself. There are however reasons why people are prosecuted and unless it appears to a jury of their peers that they are doing harm they will not be found guilty. Or maybe I am just naiive.
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
@Tuscan No,I believe you are right in what you say in that there are creditable cases, but many times I have seen the few creditable cases used as an excuse to ecxuse a blanket cover all solution,if that makes sense. Thanks for your replies.

@pedrohedgerow its the "one size fits all" culture that politicians think applies to everything.

Just pigeons and shite hawks isn't it? I agree its a bit much! I loathed paying counil tax, cos you get nothing in return but hardship!
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
@SW-User Agreed. Many times after council tax hikes,I have seen the main council buildings lavishly decorated, and no expense is spared for their party gatherings.
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
I will never stop feeding them in my garden and as for Mr Noodles. He even talks to them.....
pedrohedgerow · 61-69, M
@pennynoodles Respect to you and Mr Noodles Penny!
