Do people value honesty as much as they say they do?

No. Nor do they value it particularly in others. What others value is what they perceive to be the truth. If you're "honest," it means they will never have to forcibly extract the truth from you; if you lie often, they might. But as long as they can tell when you are honest and when dishonest, it doesn't matter much what you say.

hi RockLobster
That is a question within a question if ever I heard one. I don't know about anyone else but I do.
Best wishes
:)
Some are actually sincere. Others ... sadly no. They need a little work, on themselves... lol

I would rather honestly than the fake bullshit most people give...

I do. I don't always like it, but I prefer knowing where I stand.

I think many don't because they still lie
until you're honest with them, they do.
