This song sums up 2018 for me. I never thought the way it started would be the way it ended.
Here I am again with a hundred unanswered questions, it feels like groundhog day.
My biggest question is why. Why all of this? Why did I have to feel all of this, especially the happiness. It would have been easier without it. I know sadness, but happiness is new, and it was dangled like a toy. I tried to cling to it, I tried to lock it away in a box, so I could hold it forever. But it was taken again like it never existed, making me question if any of it was real. Did it all happen? Was that really me, or just a cruel dream meant to torture my soul?
You'll find me in the corner, eyes downcast, soul shattered, heart locked. I can't anymore. I can't survive another.
