Is it a normal thing on sw

To ask questions, have people take time to give legitimate answers/advice/insight on the question/situation and then NOT EVEN HEART OR RESPOND TO THEIR RESPONSE? like it's not that hard, be grateful someone is responding to your post buddy.

Also yeah yeah I know I post to just rant and sometimes I dont want advice...but if you say specificslly at the bottom or anywhere in your post for any advice or suggestions and then dont acknowledge the time someone takes to give it, I mean that's quite rude innit? At least heart it or say a simple thank you...🤔 but idk maybe it's a normal thing on here?
Not all responses are worthy of hearts. Some suck ass.

@Nadie 😏
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@Nadie not those. General decency is what he meant perhaps
Ladyryan · 51-55, F
If they do that, I move on to the next question and never bother answering that person’s posts or questions again. lol At least they gave me the favor not waisting my time with their posts or questions.
Ladyryan · 51-55, F
@SW-User lol 🤣
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@Ladyryan only after I see the person has completely ignored and still makes new posts/questions 🙄🤦‍♀️😅
Ladyryan · 51-55, F
@Crushedstrawberries haha nasty lol

@seeandhear yeah true I guess anonymity really brings out people's true ugly colors 🤢 not just for these situations but I mean in general 😂

It may not hit home for somebody so your response is essentially dismissed.
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@Keepitsimple that's true, that's probably why most of the time
SW-User
Appreciation is a good quality and a sign of good manners and being respectful 😊.
SW-User
I think people are even less respectful online than in l life ...no idea why 🤷‍♂️@Crushedstrawberries
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@SW-User anonymous has its pros
SW-User
And cons, like everything . Online I like to be anonymous but also courteous always 😊@Crushedstrawberries
I’m not going to be grateful for someone doing what they came to do on this site to begin with.
@Crushedstrawberries a good amount of people here actually do argue against research lol you haven’t been here long, have you? 😂

Well obviously you’re time isn’t that precious. You are here having a discussion with a person who is just laughing at you 🤔
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@MorbidCynic no I actually havnt which is why I asked this...go figure

Lol just laughing at me? Strange how you find humor in places it is not, but you do you girl. Also my time is precious so how I allocate it is important, but often it conflicts with my stubborn nature. I cant comprehend stupidity when I see it so upfront so I guess this back and forth with you is me trying to understand how one can be so...ignorant lol😅 perhaps you're just a troll, or perhaps you really like doing all this extra work to bide your time, nonetheless you've shown yourself as someone I dont see future interactions with so thanks for that, much appreciated 🤗
@Crushedstrawberries youre welcome! I have never been one to like people who take themselves too seriously 😂
chrisCA · M
I have seen that.
Many times a female will only acknowledge comments from other females, but ignore the male comments.
chrisCA · M
@Crushedstrawberries Yes. I get a kick out of the women who post selfies, and the guys fall all over themselves, complimenting her, and she does not acknowledge them.
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@chrisCA hmmm, idk if they are being genuine and giving nice compliments I think its quite rude. I mean no harm in saying thank you or hearting a response esp one that boosts your self esteem which a selfie usually does on here. But if the men are being disgusting or horndogs, then yeah that's understandable.
chrisCA · M
@Crushedstrawberries Many times they are being genuine, but some do push boundaries.
I just think the guys appear pathetic, fawning over someone who does not give a rat's ass about them.
TheChrister · 41-45, M
Tbh its normall ova all social media from what ive seen. Its not rite or nice no, lukily thru age and experience u just become immune to it, these days im like sod them n move on. I cant b arsed lol
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@TheChrister yeah I mean I understand one or two missed comments, but if in general the op doesnt respond or only responds to a few but continues posting/asking questions that annoys me alot. Bc I hate, really hate spending time writing stuff down using proper grammar and shit only to be ignored haha it's like if we talked in person and the person completely bypasses what I say.
TheChrister · 41-45, M
@Crushedstrawberries i think its exactly like that. Thyre not interesred in any1 but them n just cherrypickin what they want to hear. N cos its its the tinterweb they can max it right out not caring about others n makin themselves look a right tit lol
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@TheChrister haha yeah very true, at least it helps me single out those I choose to interact with and those I glance at and ehh, ignore 😅
rjc36 · 56-60, M
I have had it happen at times and even get a heart like several months later too. It doesn't really bother me that much.
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@rjc36 true, to each their own 🤷‍♀️
JoePourMan · 61-69, M
Unfortunately it is all too common.
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@JoePourMan how weird. I wonder if its due to laziness or they just want attention
JoePourMan · 61-69, M
@Crushedstrawberries their is one question asker, that sometimes asks 20 questions in an hour, and never interacts with those who reply.
I no longer reply to any of her posts.
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@JoePourMan ah yeah I've noticed the ones who do that as well, I dont respond either, it's a waste of time to, and I really really really REALLY hate having my time wasted 😠
DaveCapeTown · 41-45, M
I am so curious... as I have just joined this afternoon!
SW-User
Let alone hearting or saying thank you, some rather bash you if you don’t say what they want to hear. I usually stay calm, but when that happens, $hit hits the fan.
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@SW-User wow that's crazy, I love when someone plays devils advocate with me so i can see different perspectives to my situatoon
SW-User
Some take it to a whole new level. They think everyone should follow their personal guidelines when it comes to posting on the internet. @Crushedstrawberries
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@SW-User I've seen those like that, I usually avoid bc I dont want to waste my breath talking to a wall 😑
english · 56-60, M
nicely pût young lady ,🙃
SW-User
Yes, it's normal.
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@SW-User 😥 sad, I guess whatever floats their boat but just annoys me bc I hate having my time wasted. Like REALLY hate it hahah
SW-User
@Crushedstrawberries They at least might have read what you type. Even if they didn't acknowledge it, maybe your words help them anyway.
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@SW-User perhaps, 🤷🏻‍♀️
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
No its rare that someone takes time to respond well in general.
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@MartinTheFirst true but when someone actually does and then ignored, that's rude
