I've accepted that some people start off a PM with nothing more than "hi." OK, that's fine, But if you have no posts or other information on your profile, and you PM me, it would be nice if you would give a little background.

i HATE those empty profiles! they make me suspicious.
so I have experimented, and MANY of those are some form of attempts at getting over on someone

@Mayumi Yeah, I think some of them don't know how to start a conversation. They can be nice people who aren't going to start off with a paragraph about themselves. I've started responding to them and either they lose interest right away (like maybe after they see my profile) but some of them open up.
