Are price gouging laws starting to pertain to beauty products/ cosmetics?

I.e. I regularly buy an Estee Lauder cream 120 dollars per 2 oz. People are complaining online that they discontinued the 13.5 oz version for 1000 dollars. I'd never buy this version if I was rich just because I know that skin creams in a jar go bad if you don't use them every day until finished. Is this price gouging and does the cosmetics industry have to be accountable? A youtube celebrity just released a 200 dollar skincare set, the ingredients are crap. Love her videos though.

I think a more serious price gouging example is how it’s illegal not to have insurance but there’s isn’t laws to minimize the cost of insurance for drivers with clean records
