I Am Having An Identity Crisis

I am a first generation Chinese and Vietnamese. I been feeling like I have an identity crisis. I wish I knew more about my culture. Felt that I could have been born and raised in China or Vietnam. Instead of what I was told.

cultural identity is rough especially if you are of two worlds. I am native american an i know very little about my peoples culture because i was not raised around them. i grew up in the american culture and that is what i know. i have returned to my people's reservation and i am finding out that although they are my people, i do not belong with them. my culture is everywhere except here.

It's a lot when you grow up in a different country. I grew up in the US and have always been curious about my Korean roots.

Luckily I was able to visit and see the vast difference in life.

I'm a first generation college-bound Puerto Rican and I feel the same way. I'd have loved to be surrounded by my people and learn the ins and outs of the island.

You honestly look sooooo much like a good friend of mine, I thought you were her for a second when I saw your pic. 😮
