As one posible prevention, try to avoid food that contains Monosodium glutamate, a flavor enhancer (industrial soups, canned vegetables, others).

Is the air dry there at night? I've been running a humidifier and it's eliminated my headaches.

@Wordlover I spent 48 years in academic medicine, so I have a bias. There are other therapeutic interventions, I believe, as well. An academic physician might have access to other therapies for you.

I used to suffer from this for a few years and someone told me to try taking a low dosage 75 mgs Aspirin every other day. I have not had it it since that day . Been almost 3 years now.
Good luck it is an awful feeling.

First, have you been to a specialist? Then speak to him/her about alternative treatments, there are so many options these days.

Thanks,I think mine are related to hormones as they happen on a fairly regular monthly basis! Have tried to cut certain foods out, take strong medication too.But no joy really 😔. I am seeing a specialist soon,so keeping fingers crossed.@samueltyler2

800 mg ibuprofen works best for me, but a doctor has to prescribe it
