It's irrational thinking but it's true in a lot of people's case. In my case, I've always known that I didn't deserve it. Funny story actually, I almost tried to kill my dad with a hammer after he beat me up when I was around eleven or twelve. I guess in retrospect, it's not that funny.

Until you confront them and let them know what your boundaries are.
