3. Green

As spring peeks through
The blanket of winter
I spy green blades
Finding equal purchase
In fields of white.

@ChampagneOnIce This year we didn't have much snow but I can picture your words. Well written.
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@ReneeT Thank you. We got quite a bit of snow, even into last week. I’m ready for spring!

When you look at my picture
Do you really see me?
Looking at the things that matter
I promise you
That you won't be fooled
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@ReneeT That’s lovely. Well done!

@ChampagneOnIce Thank you. It's fun to look at the phrases and imagine a thought or two.

Why must we always try to hide in silent circles
Afraid of what the next one will think
I find silence to be a defining sound
When no one hears the spoken word
And their only thought is moving on
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@ReneeT Wow. This is poignant.

Spring is a wonderful time to balance priorities
Find the things that matter
Look to open doors
To rise up and rejoice
Seek out new beginnings
And enjoy life
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@ReneeT Very much so! At least, as much as we can under stay-at-home orders. 😄
ReneeT · 61-69, M
@ChampagneOnIce That is true. This was written as a more hopeful bit of thinking.
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@ReneeT I like that.

Drifting along in silent circles
Searching for the balance
That will bring some redemption
From a world torn apart

"Will I live tomorrow? well I just can't say you know that ain't right"

#3 Green
"Anger smiles, towering, in shinny metallic purple armor
Queen Jealousy Envy awaits behind him, her fiery green gown sneers at the grassy ground, Blue are the life giving waters taken for granted but quietly understand, once happy turquoise armies lay opposite and ready but wonder why the fight is on. Red, so confident he flashes trophies of war, and ribbons of euphoria, Orange is young and full of daring but very unsteady for the first go round, my yellow in this case is not so mellow in fact it frightened like me, and all of these emotions of mine keep holding me from giving my life to a rainbow like you, but I'm bold, bold as love..."
