I Love You

The kind of love that adds something to your life even when the relationship is long over, but a word, a greeting once in a while keeps you going. Brings you some cheer in the dreariness of a lonely life void of love.

When even that is gone, and the longing recedes into the past, it leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled.

I think you left to either save me (the most charitable thought...thinking my heart would be free to love another...), or to save yourself from the purgatory of a love that was doomed from the start. Whatever the reason, the result is it made no difference for my life. There is no one else. It has just left an empty space that once poured it's love your way, but is now like a dead planet...just there...just existing.

No words for this - except, I know it hurts.

He does not consume my thoughts as he once did, Kat, and my heart has healed to a degree, but he left a vacuum that I doubt can ever be filled, and it's been almost 5-years now.
