I Believe In The 2nd Amendment

I am a firm believer in the second admendment.

I do not think we need more laws however I think things need to change.

That can be done by the firearms industry itself. They are currently marketing styleized rifles that are primarily for the tacticoolnees of it.

So here is the solutions. Stop marketing the tacticool.

Market the heritage.

Increase the price of the militarized styled weapons so it is cost prohibitive to purchace over at good lever rifle or so.

None of this required more laws or protest or dehumanizing those that disagree with you.

I was with you until you suggested making it cost prohibitive for a semi-auto. It is function, not looks that matter with any firearm. Cool or not, it is about how it works.

I don't have any semi-auto guns at the moment. Yet I have every intention of acquiring one later this year for my own reasons. I believe that the second amendment is a right for owning and using firearms... I'll agree with severe restrictions on full auto and such, but there is nothing wrong with semi-auto.

My experience is bolt, lever, or pump disrupt aim more than semi-auto. Not that with practice, one can shoot any accurately, but all are viable choices.

@sunrisehawk 1. Did I mention semi auto? There are many semi-auto rifles that are not tacticool.

As far as accuracy that you mention that is aflase. Demonstrated in the all dedicated sniper rifles and Olympic target rifles are all bolt action and not semi auto

@St0ut I don't care what a gun looks like, I care how it functions. I have a number of classic styles from the 1840's through the 1870's and love how they feel and work. But some of what you call tacticool are very modern and effective designs in their own right and allow for what the old designs couldn't do.

Also, my experience isn't in Olympic class shooting, as a regular guy, I can get a few more rounds downrange accurately when not dealing with a bolt, lever, or pump.
