I Work Full Time

Good news and bad news.

Good news - my company won the contract.
I get to resume my previous job as a technical writer and stop the business analyst duties.

Bad news - we have a new supervisor. This will be our third supervisor this year. #1 was terrific - everybody is still sorry he left. #2 was not #1, so we complained about him privately amongst ourselves.

We shouldn’t have done that. What I’ve seen of #3, I don’t like so far. He’s shaping up to be a micromanaging clone of the CEO - who likes to use threats and intimidation as a management tool.

It is always bad when you have to break in a new supervisor, they act like they run the show. Good luck with that, perhaps in time he/she will come around.

NeWw supervisors always try to prove they a better than the previous supervisor. It is best to help them get settled in so they can leave you alone.
Does the Co. promote from within, posting the job so that employee's may apply for the position before it is advertised to the public help wanted ?

@softspokenman I don’t have any idea how they hire managers, or where they got this latest guy.

Maybe you should petition for the return of #1

@diablesse He’d never do it. He loves his new job - it’s closer to his home, and he’s no longer supervising people.

Well maybe you should help #3 find a new job and hope #4 is more like #1

@diablesse Great idea! #3 has a long commute....hmmm.....😏
