I Deal With Mental Illness Everyday

Where do you draw the line when it comes to dating someone with a mental illness? When does the person's psychosis become too hard to handle?

I'm with someone who has very severe OCD and anxiety, and it has become extremely hard to deal with lately. He is not medicated because we just can't afford the cost (we live in the US and are uninsured).

I want to be as supportive as I can, because I also have a mental illness (bipolar and anxiety) and understand how hard it is to be alone with no support...however, his issues lately have been making my own issues worse. It makes me wonder if we just aren't good for one another. 馃槥

In my opinion If you and him get great support out of this relationship then telling isn't a bad idea. If you don't tell him it might just get worse.

@GreenNatured95 I doubt he has noticed.
