I Love My Job

It's not the job I ever thought I'd have, but I'm glad I have it. It can be frustrating at times, but I enjoy it. I work the overnight shift, and the only other employee working with me is the custodian. I have on average about 35 people who come through each night. I know all their names, so they don't have to worry about scanning their key tags. Most of them are nurses, police officers, and contractors. They're very nice people, at least most of them are. Some don't like talking, but there's nothing wrong with that. It took a while getting used to those hours, but it's a great job. In case you're wondering, I work at a gym. I have a free membership, but I rarely take advantage of it. Aside from not having much time, I have some issues with my back that make working out difficult.

I use an inversion table for sciatica in my lower back. It cures it really quickly and rarely get it anymore.
What do you do then if you are not the custodian?

@sogdianrock I check people in, clean equipment, restock the merchandise, and closeout the registers, among other things. There's a pretty good bit to do.

That's kind of how I feel about my job. I never thought I would work somewhere like this, but I absolutely love it here. I love the work I do, the people, and the hours. We are truly blessed!
