I Am So Upset

EDIT: They just emailed me saying they have issued a refund! /thank God, I was about to raise hell. I still will if it doesn't come through in the next couple days. Thanks for all the advice!

I woke up and checked my bank account on a whim to find that a company has taken 72 dollars from me without my knowledge. I signed up for their free trial last week but cancelled it with in the trial period, but they still charged me anyway.

On top of that, I never agreed to pay 72 dollars in the first place. The only reason I signed up for the trial was because I knew that if I by any chance forgot to cancel in time, it would only be 6 dollars a month. They mentioned nothing about a 70 dollar annual.

They don't even have a phone number I can call 😡. The only option they have is an email, which they can easily ignore. I emailed them but I also found their fb page. They did this to someone else who left a review so I commented to say the same happened to me.

I can't afford to just throw away 72 dollars. I'm a full-time volunteer on a strict budget and I have to pay my car note.

I am beyond frustrated, and I really hope they don't ignore me.

Had similar difficulties recently. Another thing that’s going on is when you order something, the company puts ‘a hold’ on your card to secure the amount. Always before, when the actual charge goes through, the hold dropped off simultaneously.

Twice in two months, the hold did NOT drop off immediately and I was basically charged twice. A hold from Amazon took five days to be added back into my account and I’m still trying after 6 weeks to get back the one from Verizon.

I understand your upset. 😕

If this involved the App Store, google Apple help - they have a chat function which is ever so much faster than the email route.

Contact your bank and dispute the transaction. Copy that review where someone else had the same experience - it shows a pattern of deceptive business practices.

@midnightsun Small PDF. I was using it to do something for job and they wouldn't let me download the pdf with out a free trial and I was on a deadline so I just signed up fully in intending to cancel

Banks don't work and you definitely won't get a refund.
