Absolutely, though we may not understand what we see, somebody, somewhere was giving you an expression of self. And no matter how abstract, the ability to convey our thoughts or attempt to do so is something never to be ignored or kept locked away.

@Sapio True. Anything can be an art in my opinion.

Yes. I'm no artist but many types of art touch me deeply. It is also a necessary outlet of expression for the artists. Art is part of what makes us Human.

@Wraithorn Exactly.

I am an artist at heart and I have a high appreciation for it and its creators.

However, I don't believe that a work of art is more valuable than a person's life
xixgun · M
@xixgun Something to remember, art is people.
a person is born and will likely die in 80 to 90 years on average but their art can survive beyond anyone.

Art is a timeless extension of humanity, and its importance is beyond that of individuals.

No. What is so fasicnating about Mona Lisa anyway?
SW-User
@Madeleine I know. But, what makes the art is very valuable?

How do we measure the value of the art itself?

@SW-User It is fascinating and valuable because it is still around after hundreds of years...not many things have survived that long....that takes it beyond monetary value actually and into pricelessness.
Pfuzylogic · M
It is the primary method of communicating cultural aesthetics and values.
