@gumbo I used to til I was 16. It was the same period when my parents separated and I fell ill. Dad was being even more abusive. I believed in God. I remember crying every night, praying to end my pain. When nothing happened, I accepted the truth. Ever since I stopped being Christian, I felt great. I studied hard and got a good job.

They are only ridiculous to those that don't believe. I imagine they get upset because they are constantly questioned, not because they are questioned at all.

@Datboi I have no issue with Christians, that's the same across all religions, and atheists are just as bad. Some people can give any group a bad name, they're the ones I take issue with.

There are violent sects of BUDDHISTS out there, a religion all about peace that angry, hate filled people have twisted into a reason to go to war.

It really makes no sense to say that Christians believe so. I'm not even a Christian, but I respect all religions and all beliefs WITHOUT tainting it with what a few people BEHAVE as.

When are atheists being badgered by Christians? I haven't seen posts saying "atheists are heathens" or anything like that.

I have never met a Christian that thought atheists were bad. If anyhthing they pray for them to see the light and become Christians.

Atheists only get provoked when Christians gets into their nerves. If they don't believe it, leave them.

@gumba both my dad and sister are atheists. My mother couldn't go to church because of my autistic brother. He gets cranky when he stays in the Church too long. So mom stays with him at home on Sundays. But she prays from home. Other Christians can't understand it. They even assumed that my brother was possessed that's why he don't like to come to church.

Silver. While I am pleased you are happy and have a good job, I am confused as to why these church goers were saying your parents split because your were not religious. You have said you were going to church and believed in God. Either way that story of your past shows Christians badgering other Christians and not atheists.
