I Love Swimming

I read yesterday starting at the 2020 Olympics. they will add mixed relays. also the 800m free for men and 1500 free for women. I think its about time for the new free but now sure how I feel about mixed relays. swimming is definitely a sport that needs to stay separate because men swim faster than women.

Mixed relays are common in just about every other level of competitive swimming. They added them to the worlds a few years back.

No, but my kids are on swim team and we lightly follow competitive swimming. I've been a swim mom for nearly a decade.

@ProdigalSummer: ok but I worry what mixed relays will lead too. I was a competitive swimmer and am now a coach. we don't have mixed relays in our club

@ProdigalSummer: and you most likely know what I pointed out men swim faster than women. because they have more upper body strength
