I Have Pet Peeves

One of my pet peeves is when someone buys NeverAds something they think I want or they ask me what I want and the don’t bring me what I want. Example: would you like a drink? Sure, can you get me a diet sprite... and they bring me diet root beer. I’m like what? How about fruit. Sure I like mandarins. And they bring me oranges. Ice cream? Bluebell please. They bring me Costco ice cream brand cause it was on sale. Argggggh

I hear ya
I am disabled ,so my daughter pays my bills for me and shops
She has my ATM cards ,she hands me receipts
and don't get me wrong I am very grateful
But when she shops at Save a Lot for me ,,and Winn Dixie for her family
They have brand name everything and I have clover valley or some crap I can't pronounce .
And they use the money left from my check to go out to eat ,go to concerts
But never ask if I would have liked to go ,,
She pays my bills late sometimes so I get a late charge
I have to asked for "My Money " to fix minor things ,
My car so I am not stranded ,,my insurance is pay roll deducted ,,but I don't have a tag
When I mention "Lets get my car legal and a new tire ..that belt thats keeping it from running ,,my answer is Dad you only drive it to the store ,no where else ,and I take care of everything else for you ,,where do you want to go ?

That's not the point ,,in my adult life I have always had a car ,,I own 2
I hate asking people to do anything for me ,,but if I do ,,I hate waiting
especially when I am at the [b]end[/b] of the list of "things I need to do "

I am thankful ,,and we just bought a home together so now she is pushing me about when I am ready to start moving ,,
This has been my home for 25 yrs ,,I raised her and her sisters here ,,4 of my grand kids ..I am the only King of this castle
I know the new house is for me .I deserve to own something again ,but when I am gone it will be hers ..We get along well ,I adore her ,but I have not actually shared my home since my ex left 7 yrs ago ,
I allow people to live with me ,but there comes a time I want them to get their own place ,,She wants for us to live together (it will make it easier to be there for me ,,and its my home too ,,I am a home owner ..
But its not just mine ,,I have come to like being single and not answering to anyone except God .
So if I can't get them to understand how they rob my dignity sometimes
making me feel like "I need them "
I served my country ,I took care of my grandparents ,both of my parents
I raised them ,,helped raise their kids ,put them through college
gave them all their first cars and taught them to drive them
I don't ask for much ,,and I really don't need anything
I could sell a few of my instruments or a few tools and buy another car .
I just want the ones I have legal and there when and if I want to go somewhere

I hate having to ask anyone to do anything for me ,,and I hate Save a lot ice cream and those tough ass Chicken Breasts in a wal mart Bag ,,I asked for a whole Chicken (I can make do with the Breasts ,its just not what I asked for .
and yea ,,a real navel orange ,,not the bag with Granny Smith apples that no one eats ,,so I stew them so they don't go to waste ...
Yes Mam ,,I get it
I am going to give my Caddy to anyone who gets my Mustang ready for a tag
I don't care I have use of a car or a truck ,,I want mine

I don’t think this is a topic any one ever talks about. And it’s important. How to treat others. But it comes from the way we treat them.... usually. @Mindful My girls are good to me ,and I shouldn't complain
A lot of it is her man ,,he runs the warehouse that stocks all the winn dixies and Harvey's in the area ,he is a distribution manager
He gets deals and coupons ,,he runs everything with his phone and watch
He taps the card reader with his phone ,and all the deals he is there for get loaded ,,takes off his coupons ,,he knows all the buy on get one free deals
Rewards that take lots of money off at the pumps when he buys gas because he shopped at one of their stores ,,and he got an employee discount
free ice cream when he buys a Pizza ..but they have a Huge freezer ..mine is small ,,,and I am used to buying things I want as I am in town
But its been a while since I got to go anywhere alone ..
So its easier to give her a list ,,and she runs in for just me ,normally he is not with her ,,so she is not looking for all the deals he is and she don't have all those apps on her phone ,she is about in and out ,he is there for deals ,,I always bought the best for them ,seen they had anything they liked ,
She is doing the best she can ,and I am just being ungrateful
But you're post hit home ,,I am waiting on her now
She was suppose to take my cable box in days ago and hasn't ,its broken but they will swap it out ,all she need to do is drop the old on off and pick up a new one ,she is on my account ,so I am reduced to basic cable ,,its just the little things she doesn't understand
It drives me nuts ,,I hate having to be patient all the time
just because I am ,,doesn't mean I like it
But you are right ,,my kids are actually good public servants ,,so its not like they haven't been taught properly ,or that we don't have mutual love and respect for one another ,,,
I am Dad ,,I should not be at the end of the list all the time
especially when she has my cards ,,all my money
Sorry for the rant ,I have been waiting on her for hours ,,but I am sure she had someone else she had to help first ,,
I found out when my parents died ,,I was not near as attentive as I thought I was ,,,if I had a chance to do it over ,
a lot of adults would have had to do for themselves ,and my parents would have been spoiled ,,now I see ways I could have been a better son
I thought I was the best just for keeping them out of a nursing home ,paying for their meds and cable
I should have taken Mom to the beach like she wanted ,or to get carry out and she and I sit on the river and watch sail boats go by ,,took Dad out on the boat more ..just little things they said I remember now that they are gone .

She finally came ..without my food ,tomorrow
my cable box they will take care of Monday and she is in a hurry
she has other people waiting on her ..
I am getting my car running before I loose it
