How do you move on with your life?

I'm feeling a bit stuck. I don't really know why but for some reason, instead of moving forward, it feels like all I'm doing is moving backward....

According to Einstein, it's impossible to move backward. But it is possible to move forward in time. So for you to be moving backward is simply not possible.

Maybe you should talk to a therapist. I've been seeing one for several months and she's been very helpful. You need to work on your self esteem, and a professional can help you with that.

Maybe I should...but I'm still dependent to my parents (despite graduating college since I haven't started looking for work...I don't feel like I'm... mentally(?) and emotionally (?) ready...) and if I ask them, they would probably preach to me about this and that (it's always been like this anyway) and worry (mostly my mom).

Maybe you can get some services for free. Call the county's mental health services and see if they can help you. That way you wouldn't have to involve your parents.

are you grieving? look deep down inside. after you have grieved properly and moved through the 5 crucial steps (don't get stuck!) then you might begin to be able to move on.

The only person I'm grieving for is myself...

we, the depressed, lonely, and feel worthless, are not understood. for all you insensitive clods out there: you wouldn't tell a diabetic to "snap out of it" would you? mental health issues are real. if you've never been depressed, you will never understand. we hurt inside. medications help. we are not broken. we do not need to be fixed. we are working through our lives as best we can. I have been depressed at least since my early teens, 40 years. the most difficult thing I do each day is not kill myself. my only advice is to find someone who understands, then together find somebody you can talk to, a professional.

People grow up in different environments, socialize with different kinds of people, prioritize different things, like and hate different things, and believe in different things so I guess It's impossible for one person to fully understand another. The closest possibility would be somewhat understand.
Living itself is a daunting task... especially during these times where education, money, connections and popularity starts to become the standard of "normality". There are times when I think that I do not belong in this world or at least in this timeline.

Try to make yourself busy. You won't have time to sit back and wonder about it. All of a sudden you'll wake up and see how much time has gone by.
