I'd say your world would have been better for you if it FB never existed, but that mostly depends on how much your previous unfortunate experiences had defined you. Btw, if your profile pic is the "current" you, then I don't think you're overweight.
I had a FB account when I was 17 and ended up deleting it after two weeks when I noticed how shallow people have become. I had one recently but I only have my work co-workers and work friends on it.
