why does everyone love one piece?

Why does everyone love one piece so much? I don't understand what so great about it. I find it boring, slow, and not funny. It seems like they waste time on what happened on the last episode it's like 6 or 7 minutes long then they tons of still pictures. I can't sit thought 200. 300 or how many episodes till it's better if which is unlikely. Please tell me what's so great about it?
