Because it enforces a faux civility based upon leftist political ideals limiting free speech. Further, it infantilizes people assuming adults can't compete on an equal footing in discourse. Last, it imposes limits most people don't agree with to meet the political goals of a noisy minority.

Because it stifles thought... Every topic is reduced so that no one is offended... Life's not like that, you have the choice of either agreeing with the lowest common denominator or living your life and maintaining your silence

There's nothing wrong with being politically correct, the problem is when people get butthurt over people being politically incorrect
