What is a polite way of telling a guest to leave?

Blow your whistle 3 times and yell, "everyone out of the pool!"
Or
Say "Thank you for coming, it was nice having you. We must do this again" and corral them to the door?

I'd tell them hey, can I give you a holler later, I have to ............ (insert something here) It can be online homework, run to Target, whatever... then its not really that rude in my opinion
