I Live In My Head Too Much

Yes i do!!! The voice in my head can be great at times, it can even be a life saver but it can also be toxic and sometimes i don’t realise just how much I am living inside my head. So for a long time I wasn’t able to control the tone of the voice inside my head and I let it knock me around a lot so now I have to actually boss my brains. Any time I notice that the voice in my head is playing tricks on me I get it out, find something that makes me happy, surround myself with good people, replace any bad thoughts in my head with positive ones or focus on what I want in life. My thoughts are not in control of me I control them.
I am not my thoughts i am the awareness behind them. Everything in this life is temporary (both the good and the bad) so the bad times won’t last forever and who knows what amazing opportunities lie ahead for me in this life.
Easy said than done but....

you have it right, that "voice" in your head is NOT you, and you are correct , YOU are the consciousness aware of your thoughts, try meditation, it builds skill around quieting your mind, and kinda shows you that the thoughts aren't you, cuz when you are trying not to think about anything or just concentrate on your breathing, while you meditate, these thoughts keep entering your mind, proving its NOT you !! and anyways, think about it this way, if someone was following you around all day saying all the things to you that , that voice in your head is telling you , what would you do/ say to that person, you will tell them to get lost, now thats easier than stopping the voice in your head, but you kinda got to view it the same way, most people go through life unconsciously , living in their heads, consumed by their thoughts about 80% of the day, so, you are certainly not alone !! but seriously try meditating, it helps to learn to quiet your mind, but it sounds like you are making progress, and just the fact that you are trying says a lot about your level of consciousness !! good luck , keep at it

That's very obvious and all do that but remember it's completely only your responsibility to control it and only you can control it
It’s so hard to replace a negative mind with positive thoughts especially when negative ones have been there our whole life’s..

Well said! Negative self talk can be so inhibiting.
