Bedtime chats
Tonight, my daughter said she liked being with me because I make her feel special. (Which in turn made me feel special)
She is special. Her existence matters to all of us in multiple ways.
She also admitted that she sometimes does and says things just because she wants attention. :-) I also love that she can admit this.
She also said that life is getting boring.
She also says that all her dreams (materialistic) have come true.
At night we pray and thank God and the Universe for who we have in our lives.
Trust me, as a parent I constantly feel lost and unsure, and as an individual I ask myself, “what the hell am I doing on planet earth and why? What is my purpose? I’m just a grain of sand on this shoreline!”
Truly.
But to hear my daughter say those words to me, well it’s a moment that makes the. Glassy side of me shine bright and warm.
