Todays adventure saw Gusman travel to Kalamunda [I Love National Parks]

Kalamunda is a mere 25 km from Perth, atop the Darling Scarp.
Those of you who view my travels will know that the Darling Escarpment overlooks the Swan Coastal Plain.
You will also know that an Escarpment is a Steep Slope or Long Cliff usually formed by Tectonic Faulting.
The Darling Escarpment runs from Bindoon in the North to Pemberton in the south of South West Western Australia
A distance of about 1000 km.
In Fact, The Darling Escarpment is a huge chunk of land that was forced upwards.
The top of the Escarpment nowdays is 580 meters above sea level.
Kalamunda National Park is a wonder to behold.
The exposed Granite faces and Boulders are up to 2500 Million years old.
The Hills are covered in Jarrah, Marri, Wandoo and Ghost Gum
At the Bottom of these Hills is Piesse Brook

I hope you enjoy seeing the beauty that is Perth Western Australia.
I will finish off with a Lovely Scented Sun Orchid.

Where are all the crocs and snakes and spiders? Looks like you are over the flu!
Gusman · 61-69, M
@hunkalove No Crocs in Southern Australia, Snakes and Spiders abound.
This post is purely concentrating on the Flora and Geology surrounding Perth.
I still have the Flu, just not so bad now.

Gusdude, now that you've been to Kalamunda, when are you going to Falakata?
Gusman · 61-69, M
@hunkalove Gusman never leaving Australia again.
Yohoboy can tell me all about Falakata and show me pictures of his hometown so I have no need to visit

I am loving your photos. Looks beautiful there - uninhabited, serene. Must not be a 'touristy' area.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Tomorrow Certainly not a Tourist Area. Most Tourists go to the Picnic Areas, with ablutions.
Gusman goes off the track to experience Nature in it's Natural Beauty

That's awesome! If I ever do visit - I'll probably be at one of the picnic areas. Lol. I'd be afraid to strike out on my own and run into snakes and other crawly things. 😂@Gusman

very pretty and not damaged by humans

Did you run in to any Noongar aboriginals from this area
Gusman · 61-69, M
@nedkelly The area is still in pristine condition.
I met no one on this mornings sojourn.
The whole park seemed to be mine. 🥰

Thank God, thought it was Falakata.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@msros Worry not about Falakata. There will be plenty more stories from India, you mark my words.
