If you like the "funny pages" you most likely know FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE,Lynn Johnson's for want of a better word,graphic roman a clef. Originally titled The Johnsons,she drew on what she knew best figuratively and literally. She couldn't consistently reproduce anything but her family in three boxes!It was funny,witty and moving. This is the group of strips called The Death of Farley. Johnson had told Charles Schultz who drew Peanuts that she was going to kill off Farley as her own dog was well along in years(to be replaced by Edgar,or as Micheal dubbed him EdGRRR) Schultz threatened to kill off Snoopy if she did,so Lynn didn't tell him,perhaps not realizing it was a joke!
