How bad is the Covid-19 there in the UK
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
@dale74 Diabolical. We passed 100,000 deaths from it yesterday, I believe :( We're under national lockdown including with schools closed, at least until March, I think the government has said. Average deaths per day are about 1200 and we've been warned to expect them to stay at this level for a couple of weeks before an expected gradual decline :(

From what I understand university students in UK have switched to online learning for tge time being so many are not returning to halls / local accommodation.

@PhilDeep yeah I don't do that online learning stuff. I prefer actually going to class to do my work so I'm more focused.
Yes, here in the USA...many states have in-school learning. In Oregon, my state, the schools have been closed since March, 2020. Now, there is a shortage of the vaccines but teachers, and then older people are on the vaccination time line. The British mutated strain, has been found in one person in Oregon, recently. Supposedly it is easier to catch but not quite as severe. I will be glad when it's all over and life gets back to normal. ☺️
I don't chat but it is a nice thing to offer.

I'm sorry you feel alone, this entire event has affected so many people in a bad way, emotionally, financially, career wise, etc. We need to reach out anyway we can to connect and maintain some aspect of our humanity. Its good to see your smiling face here again.

Hi there. Welcome back. Lots of people do online learning but I never got used to it. Just like you, I would rather do it in person.
funfan · 46-50, M
It's soooooo awesome to see you back here and posting such a sensitive statement such as this. ♥

Hi Saint Anna, welcome back to SW. I think we are all a bit stressed during these trying times of COVID-19.
I hope you don't feel lonely like that. You can adapt hobbies and learn something new. :)

They always come back...
SW-User
@MarkPaul I only come back when I want to. Always suggests that I come back whether I want to or not. So therefore, stop saying something just for the sake of saying something snarky when you don't know me.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@SW-User I'm just observing and noting how people claim to "stay away" and then always (ALWAYS) return. I am sure you will agree that seems remarkable. Stop being so defensive, especially when your behaviour suggests you don't know yourself.
