What’s a book you’ve really wanted to like but just couldn’t get into?

We need to talk about Kevin... I watched the movie and I found out it was based off of a book and I really wanted to like it but I just couldn’t stand the main character/narrator

Years ago, I tried to read "Catch 22." I could not get interested in it. Six months to a year later, I tried again, and got hooked.
