What's your favourite book?

All time favorite book is "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair. There is a lot to learn there that can be applied to current world events.

Current favorite "The Three Marriage Enigmas" by Kevin Foster.
A very good read the explores what happens to the deep love and intimacy couples experience during their courtship and honeymoon. The author writes of his experiences as a marriage counselor about what he feels are the hidden and insidious forces that sap marriages of love and intimacy. He theorizes that these forces operate behind the scenes without the knowledge of either spouse. And he theorizes that if left unchecked, these marriage enigmas destroy what were once happy, healthy, and loving relationships.

Homer's Iliad, and Kafka's "The Castle" is a close second.

@ArtieKat "Der prozess" is too terrible. It causes nightmares. It's a book I can't really read. Some think Steven King is a horror novel author; they should read "der process" 😐

@ArtieKat Kafka gives us a secular representation of a mystic and sacred sense of the world. He is a heretical Kabbalist. The Trial and The Castle are the two faces of the Deity: judgement and grace.
