Which book knocked your socks off?

The one that is currently my favourite is 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I find no words to describe the strange emotions that the author drags you through - very intense and unpredictable.

I agree that was a very good book. I know it got mixed reviews from the critics but I really enjoyed it

@Funtoy4u The critics can say whatever they want :).

I read it before I saw the critics reviews so I was untainted by them and it was a good book.

@Funtoy4u there you go, luckily the smug bastards didn't ruin you a great experience ;)

Don't forget about his book of short stories, "The Elephant Vanishes."
sumojumo · 36-40, M
@MarkPaul I have read also that one, and a few others. I loved "my Beloved Sputnik". Well, everything was great, but I think 1Q84 is still the best

@sumojumo I haven't read it, but I will check it out.
Uncle · 46-50, M
I would very much agree with you regarding that book.
sumojumo · 36-40, M
@Uncle I am glad I am not the only one - I started reading it by accident, just found it casually lying on the shelf :). I read the first couple of pages and then I just could not stop reading it. Amazing!

Green Eggs and Ham.
I reread it 876 times.

@FreeSpirit1 dr Seuss, for the small people and for the huge people :)

[image deleted]This one...literally....
sumojumo · 36-40, M
@luctoretemergo I wonder what the sequel of this one would be :)

Finally...someone gets me! Thanks!
I labored over which "knock your socks off" book to post.
There's surprisingly a lot of them!@sumojumo

@luctoretemergo We might have a similar sense of humor, and it might be a bit rare :)
