What is your favourite word?

krasno might also mean beautiful, but brace yourself ;), najlepši mean the most beautiful, and I think in Slovak is "the best"? And I believe there are tons of these lying around :)

Omg, someone is messing up with us. In Croatian užasno means horrible. This looks like someone shuffled the meaning of words and is now rolling on the floor when two Slavic people meet and try to make sense of words... This could be a nice David Lynch series ;).

I just thought in retrospect, that these are not "mundane" sounding words though, so I'll have to think about that.

@puck61 perfectly fine words if you ask me, if they are interesting to you, that is all that matters. By mundane I was just trying to give an example

@sumojumo Cornucopia has five syllables which is fairly unusual for such a short word. It almost 'sounds' 'plentiful' as you say it.

Auspicious has an unusual sound to it. Similar to suspicious but with almost a totally opposite meaning.

Clobbered just because it's almost never used these days. In fact it's origin is said to be from World War 2 but it's unclear where from.
