Can you imagine trying to write a story in English without using the letter "e" at all ?

In 1939 Earnest Vincent wrote a 50 000 word book called "Gadsby" in legitimate English without using the letter "e" once.

You can find the book online free of charge and read it if you like. If you are anything like me you won't believe it until you read it. Only the introduction contains "e" where he is explaing his intentions. The rest is entirely e free and quite readable.

Where is the statue that was built in this man's honour ?
Despite the fact that he has 3 - E's in his name.

Try writing just a post without it. Not without hard work! This much was a slog.

@Harmonium1923 Exactly ! E is the most commonly used letter in English. It's an amazing accomplishment.

@MarmeeMarch Why, I wonder, can I not see the answer you replied to here. Is it also deleted from your point of view ?
