Another Country by James Baldwin.
I loved Blues for Mister Charlie...one of the first monologues I ever performed was from this play. Aside from his writing, his debate(s) with William F. Buckley's also a favorite contribution of mine.@bijouxbroussard

I’m trying to decide whether I want to go see If Beale Street Could Talk in the theater, or if I want to wait for cable or dvd. Have [b]you[/b] seen it ?
I have. It was very well done. The writing isn't bad, the cinematography's decent and the acting is what truly sells the story. Many of the film's themes are relevant to our present, e.g. mass incarceration, institutionalized discriminatory housing practices. However, in spite of its political nature, it's still a very romantic love story.@bijouxbroussard
