Actually, this is a really good question. And it might make people at least pause for moment to think about why they what they do, and what it means.

Moral, practical, and personal issues are involved - But the fact that its based on a fantasy game structure makes it easier to engage.

My fantasy and reality is 180.
In D&D I had a Paladin and a female thief in 1980. The thief was quite fun to play but in real life I am much more stodgy.
