When was the last time you were to the beach?

And why what amazing things did you do there? :o
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
I think i live less than 30 miles from the coast yet haven't had the chance to get there in over a year. 😫

I'm off to see my kids on Wednesday, there's talk of a day trip out to Margate. Not wildly exciting but the Grandkids will love it !!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Picklebobble2 Is there a lot of traffic between your home and the beach? That wouldn't be too far to drive....
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@cherokeepatti Hard to say. It should be busy anyway ! Mid season and all. But they say fewer folk are taking a vacation because money is tight !
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Picklebobble2 It would make a nice day trip if you get up early...funner though to go with someone.
Rain95 · 26-30, M
This summer. Went to Jeju Island since I go every year. I went to their beach and just relaxed. These pictures aren't mine, somehow I never took any pictures when I was there
We did the hike around the island
One of my friends jumped off of the cliff and had to swim for a long time to find somewhere to climb up lol
We swam of course!
When my friends went on here, we played flashlight tag lol I kept falling and scarring my leg cause it was slippery
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@Rain95 It's so pretty there! :o
Rain95 · 26-30, M
@TeirdalinFirefall It is beautiful there! And lots to do!
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
Last time I was at the beach was 4th of July. I mostly looked at it from the boardwalk because it was one of those horrible towns that charges for beach passes. I waited until almost sunset to walk the beach when they stop checking for tags. That's better for me anyway, because there are fewer people at that hour, and I can have lots of space where I'm not stepping over people and their junk.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@FaeLuna That's the thing. If you're charging for that shit, it had better be a VERY well-maintained beach with regular staff taking care of it.
GerOttman · 61-69, M
@FaeLuna most use it to pay the lifeguards
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@GerOttman I knew some of those lifeguards a few years ago. They were not paid anywhere near enough for the amount of money coming in from those tags. They don't even pay people to clean it; there's a volunteer organization of citizens that does it. It's just pure greed, is what it is.
Marcette88 · 36-40, F
Laid in the sun, played in the water, read a trashy book, and drank fruit juice (sterilized with Vodka).
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@Marcette88 "sterilized" xD
Last month I think ? Eh didn’t really spend much time on the beach honestly we stayed on the beach but did a lot more in the hotel and other places. I just took pictures and left. Lol went with my family for vacation and to visit family who lives around there.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@Stark Should have taken a beach back with you as a soveniere.
@TeirdalinFirefall I’ll bring it back for you next time I go
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@Stark Thanks. ^_^

About a month ago. Nothing to do there, since it's the type of beach that's incredibly cold. It was cloudy, too. I drank hot chocolate and tried to find those little green glass pieces in the sand.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@SW-User Those green glass pieces are under bridges and in trash bins pretty often. 🤔

Unless you mean, something other than broken bottles.

Come to think of it, stepping on pieces of glass on a beach sounds awful. xD
SW-User
@TeirdalinFirefall it's apparently called "sea glass"

[image deleted]
It isn't sharp, since the being in the ocean has made it dull and stuff. They're pretty, though.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@SW-User Oh yeah; those things. The abrasiveness of the sand and water pushing the glass (and really any other gems, rocks, etc you toss into the ocean) over time essentially creates a natural tumbled stone effect on them.
indyjoe · 56-60, M
Haven't been in about 12 years (since our first anniversary). It was winter (although unusually warm for February) and the off season. The most amazing thing we did was enjoy the scenery and spend time together.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@indyjoe That's quite a long time ago.
indyjoe · 56-60, M
We really aren't beach people actually...we just thought it would be a beautiful setting for our honeymoon (and it was), plus we practically had the whole place to ourselves. We may go back for an anniversary again in the future, but the beach (no matter how beautiful we think it is) is just not our getaway of choice.
Classy · 22-25, FVIP
It’s been like a 1 1/2 or 2 years since I’ve been to the beach. Ahhh, the last time I was at the beach I went snorkeling, and I got sunburned so badly on my shoulders and face I had sun blisters. I’d do it all over again tho.
SW-User
8 years back. It was a fake beach. And I dug my feet in the sand for a while. Then I waded some. Soon it was time to leave.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@SW-User Fake beach? :o
SW-User
@TeirdalinFirefall Yeah. It was actually a lake. They'd turned it into a tourist resort. They converted some part of it to look like a beach. Tons of sand. Fake sea shells. It was pretty cheap TBH.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@SW-User xD That's just sad of them.
GerOttman · 61-69, M
Couple of weeks ago, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Awesome time!! Played golf, did tourist stuff, day drank, ate very well..
Nayla · 51-55, F
Last week. I couldn't find my bathing suit so I didn't go in the water. Watched my boys go snorkeling.
Anni52 · 56-60, F
Last year during my business trip, had sex on the beach but not drink.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@Anni52 Sounds like a kind of awful place to do so with all the sand and sea water around.
Anni52 · 56-60, F
No it's actually great having sex on the beach while the waves are all around you.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
July 3, just walked around getting splashed by the waves and looked for rocks and shells.
Hiracious · F
Yesterday. Ate some food, drank some beers by the pier and hung out by the bonfire for the rest of the night
summersong · F
April. I went with my kids, saw a ton of sea lions and hung out on the boardwalk while they rode rides.
SW-User
Damn, maybe like 2 years ago? And idk I can’t remember 😂 probably just screwing around
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Yesterday, raked leveled and put more sand down
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@MarineBob Creating beaches sounds like a noble task.
SW-User
6 years ago. Swam and walked along the shore line.
eli1601 · 70-79, M
