@BrainCandy They are official.. officially unofficial. No but really... Why does it amtter if the word you use is official or not? as long as whoever you're talking to understands what you're saying, everything should be fine.

Officially it is a group of letters found in a dictionary. Things make it in a dictionary and thus become a word based off of the frequency in which it is used.

Morphemes, phonemes and semes.

@Miram I have no idea what any of those are... And I was gonna say Meaning/Definition... but okay..

@SW-User The smallest unit carrying meaning is called a seme. Phonemes are the sound units. Morphemes are the grammatical parts.

@Carla1951 Pretty sure words cant be non existent... unless they don't exist (It's confusing I know.) But you can make your own words, It just has to have a meaning. That's why they're are thousands, if not millions of different words/languages, because they've been integrated through generation after generation over hundreds, to thousands, if not millions of years per word. If it wasn't this way, everyone would be speaking one language, and instead of race, and nations, we'd have "factions" Because we'd pretty much be exactly the same. Least IMO..
